What Christmas means to me- What God has given us!

Preaching from Isaiah 9:6-7, Pastor Pierucki shares what Christmas has come to mean to him, reflecting on his childhood and years on the mission field before turning to the titles given to Christ in the prophecy. He explains that Jesus is our Wonderful Counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, and the Prince of Peace, and that His government rests upon His shoulder and rules over our lives. The message calls believers to feed their faith, to focus on getting themselves right with God rather than trying to fix others, and to rest in the sure work God has promised to perform.
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.”
