Mark Palmer teaches on the difference between good fruit and bad fruit, starting in Matthew 7 where the Lord says a tree is known by what it produces. He works through corrupt fruit, shallow roots, shame and death, withering, and disobedience, then turns to the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5, being rooted in Christ in Colossians 2, and the flourishing tree of Psalms 1 and Psalms 92, urging believers to read their Bible and pray a lot so their roots go deep. Pastor Pierucki follows with remarks on salvation as a gift received by surrender rather than works, and on staying surrendered to God's will even after being hurt by people.
“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”
