Habakkuk 3: Part 2

Dale Moore continues his study of Habakkuk 3, picking up in verse 8 and working through verse 12. He covers God's boundaries for the seas, the chariots and horses of the Lord, the bow and spear as pictures of the Word of God, the oath God swore to Abraham and the tribes, and the signs surrounding the second advent, drawing in Job 26, Joel 2, Isaiah 63, Zechariah 1 and 6, Psalms 148, Matthew 24, and Revelation 6. He closes by urging believers to keep their eyes open to the things of God, to be ready and prayed up, and to stand without surrender on salvation by grace and the finished work of Christ.
“Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? was thine anger against the rivers? was thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thine horses and thy chariots of salvation? Thy bow was made quite naked, according to the oaths of the tribes, even thy word. Selah. Thou didst cleave the earth with rivers. The mountains saw thee, and they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands on high. The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear. Thou didst march through the land in indignation, thou didst thresh the heathen in anger.”
