Pastor Pierucki preaches on what it means to follow Jesus Christ, teaching that we can only truly follow Him by following the Word of God and that we will be held accountable and judged out of the books He has written. Tracing the many places where Jesus called men to follow Him, he stresses that discipleship costs us friendships, family, and comfort, and he warns against rebellion, pride, and lukewarmness while urging a willing heart surrendered to God. Along the way he defends the King James Bible, salvation as the free gift of God by grace through faith, eternal security, and the command to love one another even when people depart from the truth.
“And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.”
