Eph. 5 Gods Church

Paul Pierucki · March 15, 2026 · 11:00 AM service

Preaching from Ephesians 5, Pastor Pierucki draws a parallel between the wife submitting to her husband and the church being subject to Christ, calling members to be submitted, spiritual, and fruitful rather than lukewarm pew-sitters. He stresses soul winning, discipleship, and putting away bitterness, and he warns against Calvinism and works salvation while pointing to salvation as the free gift of God. The message closes with a call to lay down our lives for the brethren and to keep Christ as our greatest treasure.

“Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;”
Ephesians 5:21-25 (KJV)
